Yves Giroux made a statement and, with Jason Jacques, answered questions.
At 4:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed, in camera.
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the alternative text prepared by the analysts for the Committee's report on the study of Plastic Pollution, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the analysts and Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, select an image for the cover page of the report, and take the necessary steps to acquire any rights required for the use of said image.
It was agreed, — That the executive summary prepared by the analysts for the Committee report on the study of Plastic Pollution, be adopted, as amended.
It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 7,700, for the study of the 2019 Global Assessment from the United Nations Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the Committee meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, consist of a one hour briefing with the Parliamentary Budget Officer on the report entitled "Closing the Gap: Carbon Pricing for the Paris Target" and one hour with departmental officials in relation to a briefing on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
At 5:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
