Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That sections containing personal information about a witness be struck from the public record of the Committee’s meeting of Wednesday, May 3, 2017, including the notice, evidence and the audio recording; and that the Chair be instructed to seek the unanimous consent of the House to modify the report presented on June 20, 2017, to reflect those changes, and make an attempt to do so before the winter adjournment.
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Building an Inclusive Canada: Bringing the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act in Step with Mordern Values''.
It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report any dissenting or supplementary opinions provided that they are no more than ten (10) pages in length, in the same style and format as the report (Calibri, 12 point, left aligned); and that it is submitted electronically in both official languages to the Clerk of the Committee, not later than Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (EST).
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
At 12:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
