PRIVATE MEMBERS' BUSINESS

At 5:30 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

Mr. Benoit (Lakeland), seconded by Mr. Casson (Lethbridge), moved, -- That, in the opinion of this House, the government should compensate farmers for damage done to livestock and crops by gophers resulting from the banning of effective concentration of strychnine thereby removing the ability of farmers to control gophers on their lands. (Private Members' Business M-13)

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 96(1), the Order was dropped from the Order Paper.
