Presenting Reports from Inter-parliamentary Delegations

Pursuant to Standing Order 34(1), Mr. Speller (Haldimand -- Norfolk) presented the Report of the Canadian Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) which visited New Zealand from February 23 to March 2, 1996. -- Sessional Paper No. 8565-352-53.


Pursuant to Standing Order 34(1), Mr. Bélair (Cochrane -- Superior) presented the Report of the Canadian Section of the Canada-France Inter-Parliamentary Association respecting its participation at the annual meeting held in Paris and Strasbourg from January 20 to 28, 1996. -- Sessional Paper No. 8565-352-55.

Introduction of Private Members' Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Hanger (Calgary Northeast), seconded by Mr. Breitkreuz (Yellowhead), Bill C-263, An Act respecting restriction on foreign aid, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Abbott (Kootenay East), seconded by Mr. Hoeppner (Lisgar -- Marquette), Bill C-264, An Act to allow the electors of a province to express an opinion on who should be summoned to the Senate to represent the province, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Robinson (Burnaby -- Kingsway), seconded by Mr. Solomon (Regina -- Lumsden), Bill C-265, An Act to amend the Canadian Human Rights Act (sexual orientation), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
