Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the occupation of Ottawa and the federal government’s response to convoy blockades.

Thomas Carrique and Steve Bell made statements and answered questions.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:14 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Tuesday, December 7, 2021, the committee resumed its study of gun control, illegal arms trafficking and the increase in gun crimes committed by members of street gangs.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in relation to the study of gun control, illegal arms trafficking and the increase in gun crimes committed by members of street gangs be amended by replacing the words “report to be tabled in the House no later than Thursday, March 31, 2022” with the following: “report to be tabled in the House no later than Friday, April 29, 2022”.

At 12:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
