Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Canada's health workforce.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 11:19 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 11:30 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), the sitting was suspended.

At 12:17 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

ORDERED, — That the Chair be instructed to convene a two-hour, in-public meeting on Thursday, December 8, 2022, to commence the committee’s study of Bill C-224, An act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting; that the sponsor of the bill, the member for Longueuil—Charles-LeMoyne, be invited to appear during the first hour of said meeting; and that the member for Edmonton—Wetaskiwin be invited to appear during the second hour of said meeting to commence the committee’s study of Bill S-203, An Act respecting a federal framework on autism spectrum disorder.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the committee’s study of Bill C-224, An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting, the committee invite witnesses to appear on Tuesday, December 13, 2022; that each recognized party be permitted to request one witness to appear at said meeting; and that members be requested to submit proposed witnesses to the clerk of the committee no later than noon on Wednesday, December 7, 2022.

It was agreed, — That the committee commence clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-224, An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-224, An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting, the deadline for the submission of amendments to the clerk of the committee be no later than Friday, December 9, 2022, at noon.

At 1:06 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
