Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the committee resumed its study of children's health.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Laila Goodridge moved, — That the committee hold a meeting on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, to discuss the ongoing shortages of children’s pain medications to include an hour with officials from the Department of Health and a second hour to include one witness from each political party represented on the committee.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Gary Vidal moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “an hour with” the following: “the Minister of Health and”.

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Gary Vidal and it was negatived, by a show of hands: YEAS: 4; NAYS: 6.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

At 12:50 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
