Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a vice-chair.

On motion of Kyle Seeback, it was agreed, — That Earl Dreeshen be elected First Vice-Chair of the committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of nuclear waste governance in Canada.

M. V. Ramana and Jeremy Whitlock made statements and answered questions.

At 12:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:10 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Fred Dermarkar, Joseph McBrearty and Patrice Desbiens made statements and, with Alastair MacDonald and Meggan Vickerd, answered questions.

At 1:17 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
