The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That today's meeting be extended to two hours, and that the meeting of the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure scheduled for today be cancelled.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of challenges related to the recovery of the arts, culture, heritage, and sport sectors, which have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Arts, Culture, Heritage, and Sport Sector Recovery from the Impact of COVID-19".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, no later than noon on Friday, June 17, 2022.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:45 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the House of Commons on Thursday, June 2, 2022, the committee schedule a three-hour meeting on Monday, June 20, 2022, to study the serious allegations of sexual assault concerning Hockey Canada; (a) that the Minister of Sport be invited to appear for one hour on Monday, June 20, 2022; (b) that Tom Renney, Chief Executive Officer of Hockey Canada, Scott Smith, President & Chief Operating Officer of Hockey Canada, David Andrews, Chair of the Hockey Canada Foundation, and Glen McCurdie, former Director of Risk Management, be ordered to appear before the committee for no less than two hours at a public televised meeting on Monday, June 20, 2022; and c) that in respect of each of the individuals named in part (b) of this motion who does not agree, within 48 hours of the adoption of this motion, to appear for at least two hours, a summons be issued for his appearance before the committee on Monday, June 20, 2022.

It was agreed, — That the committee request a briefing from the Office of the Law Clerk on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

At 5:22 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
