Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Status of the Artist Act and its impact on improving basic working conditions for artists.

Howard R. Jang, Scott Benzie, Dave Forget, Éric Lefebvre, Judith Marcuse, John Welsman, and John Rowley made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

After debate, it was agreed, — That the Canada Revenue Agency and two witnesses proposed by the Bloc Québécois be invited for the study of the Status of the Artist Act and its impact on improving basic working conditions for artists, on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

At 5:26 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
