Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 22, 2016, and on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of rail safety.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "An Update on Rail Safety".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, single line spacing, justified and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That a news release be prepared by the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee postpone two of the three meetings on the study of the report on the Canada Transportation Act Review until September.

At 5:21 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
