Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, March 6, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-23, An Act respecting the preclearance of persons and goods in Canada and the United States.

On motion of Pam Damoff, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $21,300.00, for the study of Bill C-23, An Act respecting the preclearance of persons and goods in Canada and the United States, be adopted.

Michael A. Greene, Geoffrey Wilson, Mueed Peerbhoy, Pantea Jafari, Jean-Pierre Fortin and Charlotte Bell made statements and, with Gene Cabral, answered questions.

At 4:17 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for ten minutes.

At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
