Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, June 16, 2016, the Subcommittee commenced its study of Canada’s global engagement on human rights issues, particularly through the United Nations (UN) and its agencies.

The witness made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the Subcommitee not retain interpretation services in regards to their trip to New York on February 6, 7 and 8, 2018 in relation to the study on Canada's global engagement on human rights issues, particularly through the United Nations (UN) and its agencies.

At 1:58 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
