Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, June 15, 2017, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-51, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Department of Justice Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of human trafficking in Canada, the Committee submit a preliminary proposal for travel to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

At 4:45 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
