Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, May 31, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-46, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (offences relating to conveyances) and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

Daryl Mayers, Patricia Hynes-Coates, Andrew Murie and John Bates made statements and answered questions.

At 4:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Catherine Latimer, Michael Stewart and Louis Hugo Francescutti made statements and, with Anne Leonard, answered questions.

At 5:23 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee commence the clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-46, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (offences relating to conveyances) and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 , and that amendments be submitted to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 38,600, for the study of Bill C-46, an Act to amend the Criminal Code (offences relating to conveyances) and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, be adopted.

At 7:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
