The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Alistair MacGregor moved, — That the Standing committee on Justice and Human Rights conduct a study, at the earliest opportunity, into counselling and other mental health supports for jurors and that it report its findings to the House.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Motion

Iqra Khalid moved, — That the Standing committee on Justice and Human Rights conduct a study, at the earliest opportunity, into the issue of Human Trafficking in Canada, and that it report its findings to the House.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

At 3:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:49 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the Standing committee on Justice and Human Rights conduct a study, at the earliest opportunity, into the criminalization of non-disclosure of HIV status, and that it report its findings to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Access to the Justice System.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.

At 4:48 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
