Minutes of Proceedings
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Taking Action To End Online Hate".
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request the Government table a comprehensive response to the report; however, notwithstanding the deadline of 120 days stipulated in Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the comprehensive response to this report be tabled within 60 days of the presentation of the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be single spaced, left aligned and in Calibri 12 point font; that titles be in Cambria 14 point font; and that dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019.

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in public.

At 9:20 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.
Randy Boissonnault moved, — That, in relation to the remarks of Michael Cooper, Member for St. Albert — Edmonton, to the witness Faisal Khan Suri, President of the Alberta Muslim Public Affairs Council, at the meeting of Tuesday, May 28, 2019, the name of the perpetrator of the massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand, and any quoted portion of his manifesto, be struck from the Committee’s public record, including the Evidence and audio recording.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

NAYS: — 0.
Joseph Wamback and Howard Bebbington made statements.
At 10:05 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for two minutes.

At 10:56 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Lorne Goldstein made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 11:21 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for four minutes.
At 11:25 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
