Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of criminalization of non-disclosure of HIV status.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Criminalization of HIV Non-Disclosure in Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request the Government table a comprehensive response to the report; however, notwithstanding the deadline of 120 days stipulated in Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the comprehensive response to this report be tabled within 60 days of the presentation of the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be single spaced, left aligned and in Calibri 12 point font; that titles be in Cambria 14 point font; and that dissenting or supplementary opinions be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 9:16 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:24 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of online hate.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding any previous decision, the parties be required to electronically submit their dissenting or supplementary opinion on the online hate study to the Clerk by Friday, June 14, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 9:45 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, May 16, 2019, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-266, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (increasing parole ineligibility).

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1, Short Title, was postponed.

The Chair called Clause 2.

James Bezan made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:26 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:36 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of online hate.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 10:36 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for ten minutes.

At 10:49 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
