Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, June 8, 2017, the Committee commenced consideration of Bill C-45, An Act respecting cannabis and to amend the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, the Criminal Code and other Acts.

Jacqueline Bogden made a statement.

The Committee observed a moment of silence in memory of the 9/11 victims.

Carole Morency, Kathy Thompson, Joanne Crampton, Diane Labelle, Jacqueline Bogden and Eric Costen answered questions.

At 10:18 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:43 a.m., the sitting resumed.
