Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, March 7, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Development of a National Pharmacare Program.

Matthew Brougham made a statement and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion moved by Gordon Brown on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, which read as follows:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee immediately undertake a study on thalidomide that: (a) focuses on the forgotten survivors of thalidomide; and (b) examines the effectiveness of the 2015 Thalidomide Survivors Contribution Program.

Motion

John Oliver moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Ramez Ayoub, Doug Eyolfson, Darshan Singh Kang, John Oliver, Sonia Sidhu — 5;

NAYS: Colin Carrie, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Rachael Harder — 3.
