Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, April 6, 2017, the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the Detailed Action Plan of Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation in Response to the Spring 2017 Reports of the Auditor General of Canada.

Clyde MacLellan made a statement and, with Heather McManaman, answered questions.

At 9:30 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:32 a.m., the sitting resumed.

David Bevan made a statement and, with Stan Lazar, answered questions.

At 10:17 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:20 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 10:33 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:35 a.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That, in the process of the consideration of Bill C-55, An Act to amend the Oceans Act and the Canada Petroleum Resources Act, members of the Committee be able to refer to and utilize all testimony heard and briefs received in relation to the ongoing study of The Oceans Act's Marine Protected Areas.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard be invited to appear in relation to the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2017-18.

It was agreed, — That, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, the Committee invite Senior Officials from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to appear on the study of Bill C-55, An Act to amend the Oceans Act and the Canada Petroleum Resources Act, for the first hour and that the second hour be allotted to planning of future business.

At 10:48 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
