Minutes of Proceedings
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Review of changes made in 2012 to the Fisheries Act: enhancing the protection of fish and fish habitat and the management of Canadian fisheries".
It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.
It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, single line spacing and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:45 a.m.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.
It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and officials from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to appear on either Tuesday, March 7, 2017, or on Thursday, March 9, 2017, in relation to the study of the Supplementary Estimates (C) 2016-17.
It was agreed, — That the Committee invite officials from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to appear before the Committee to outline how the Department intends to implement the recommendations of the report entitled: ''Review of changes made in 2012 to the Fisheries Act: enhancing the protection of fish And fish habitat and the management of Canadian fisheries''.
At 9:24 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
