Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (A), 2018-19: Votes 1a, 5a and 10a under Department of Fisheries and Oceans, referred to the Committee on Wednesday, October 24, 2018.

The Chair called Vote 1a under Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

The Minister and the Parliamentary Secretary made statements and, with Catherine Blewett, Sylvie Lapointe, Jen O'Donoughue, Kevin Stringer and Jeffery Hutchinson, answered questions.

At 4:37 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Robert Lamirande answered questions.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 8,900.00, for the study of the Current State of Department of Fisheries and Oceans' Small Craft Harbours, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of the Regulation of the West Coast Fisheries, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 80,585.60, for the Committee’s travel to Vancouver, Nanaimo and Prince Rupert, British Columbia, in the Winter of 2019, be adopted and that the chair present the said budget to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.

At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
