The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Gérard Deltell moved, — That the Committee, in response to remuneration granted to executives at Bombardier, invite the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from Bombardier and the Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development to appear before it; that the Committee report the evidence heard and its recommendations to the House of Commons.

Debate arose thereon.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was negatived on the following recorded division:

YEAS: Dan Albas, Gérard Deltell, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Ron Liepert — 4;

NAYS: Greg Fergus, Raj Grewal, Jennifer O'Connell, Don Rusnak, Francesco Sorbara — 5.

At 4:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:54 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the canadian real estate market and home ownership.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 4:59 p.m., and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 5:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:44 p.m., the sitting resumed in Room 112-N, Centre Block.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Canada's Housing Markets: Benefits, Barriers and Bringing Balance".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, single line spacing and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's Website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

At 6:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
