The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Joël Godin gave notice of the following motion:

That all correspondence, regardless of format, presented to committee members by other committee members, including the Chair of the Committee, be presented in both official languages.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Thursday, October 19, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-57, An Act to amend the Federal Sustainable Development Act.

The Committee resumed its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

On Clause 9,

Mike Bossio moved, — That Bill C-57, in Clause 9, be amended by replacing line 35 on page 7 with the following:

“relating to sustainable development, or of both Houses of Parlia-”

Debate arose thereon.

At 9:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:03 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The question was put on the amendment of Mike Bossio and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 0.

Clause 9, as amended, carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 0.

By unanimous consent, on motion of Mike Bossio, it was agreed, — That Bill C-57, in Clause 4, be amended by replacing lines 29 and 30 on page 3 with the following:

“House that normally considers matters relating to sustainable development.”

By unanimous consent, on motion of Mike Bossio, it was agreed, — That Bill C-57, in Clause 7, be amended by replacing line 13 on page 5 with the following:

“mally considers matters relating to sustainable development.”

Clause 10 carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 0.

Clause 11 carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 0.

Clause 12 carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 0.

Clause 13 carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 7; NAYS: 0.

After debate, the Schedule carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 0

The Title carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 0.

The Bill, as amended, carried on division.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report the Bill, as amended, to the House.

ORDERED, — That Bill C-57, as amended, be reprinted for the use of the House at report stage.
