| Pursuant to Standing Order 97.1, your Committee is requesting an extension of thirty sitting days to consider Bill C-467, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act (children born abroad), referred to the Committee on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. | Conformément à l’article 97.1 du Règlement, votre Comité demande une prolongation de trente jours de séance pour l’étude du projet de loi C-467, Loi modifiant la Loi sur la citoyenneté (enfant né à l’étranger), renvoyé au Comité le mardi 28 septembre 2010. |
| The Committee wants to properly study Bill C-467 and would like to hold witness hearings in conjunction with its hearings on Bill C-37, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act, once the bill is referred to the Committee, as Bill C 37 includes the same provisions as those in Bill C 467. Therefore, your Committee requests an extension of thirty sitting days. | Le Comité tient à étudier convenablement le projet de loi C-467 et souhaite tenir ses audiences avec témoins en même temps que ses audiences sur le projet de loi C-37, Loi modifiant la Loi sur la citoyenneté et une autre loi en conséquence, lorsqu’il sera référé au comité, puisque le projet de loi C-37 inclut les même dispositions convoitées dans le projet de loi C-467. Votre Comité demande donc une prolongation de trente jours de séance. |
