The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Committee Activities and Expenditures – April 1, 2021 – December 31, 2021".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The clerk made a presentation to the committee.

It was agreed, — That the committee, through a letter sent by its Chair, invite all Committee Chairs to ask their committee to determine which of their studies may require travel during the period from July to December 2022; that committees interested in travelling be invited to prepare a rationale for why such travel would be required and be requested to provide a high-level estimate of related travel costs; that this information be provided to the Chair of the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets (SBLI), via its clerk, no later than May 6, 2022; that committees invited to submit detailed budget submissions to the SBLI do so no later than June 3, 2022; and that the SBLI be authorized to modify this planning process, if it deems necessary.

The clerk made a presentation to the committee and, with Ian McDonald and Stéphan Aubé, answered questions.

At 1:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
