Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 20, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally.

Elizabeth Sully and Alvaro Bermejo made statements.

At 11:16 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:38 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Alvaro Bermejo and Lucy Akello made statements and, with Elizabeth Sully, answered questions.

At 12:23 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:34 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Krystyna Kacpura, Julie Théroux-Séguin and Theresa Okafor made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 21,400.00, for the study of sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the consideration of Bill C-281, An Act to amend the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act, the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law), the Broadcasting Act and the Prohibiting Cluster Munitions Act, members submit their witness lists, in order of priority, by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, March 10, 2023.

At 1:26 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
