Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the committee resumed its study of service dogs for Veterans.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Incorporating Service Dogs into the Rehabilitation Program of Veterans Affairs Canada".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

It was agreed, — That the clerk and analyst of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the committee resumed its study of fairness in the services offered to Veterans: francophones and anglophones, men and women, and the LGBTQ+ community.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

Rachel Blaney gave notice of the following motion:

That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs invites Karen Hogan, Auditor General of Canada, for one meeting to provide the Committee with an overview of her 2022 report, “Processing Disability Benefits for Veterans” and the recommendations contained therein.

At 2:38 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
