Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, the committee resumed consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C), 2020-21: Vote 1c under Department of Public Works and Government Services, Vote 1c under National Capital Commission, Votes 1c and 5c under Shared Services Canada, and Votes 1c, 15c and 20c under Treasury Board Secretariat, referred to the committee on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

At 3:41 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:24 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Grant Purves made a statement and, with Roger Ermuth, answered questions.

At 5:24 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the information pertaining to the National Emergency Strategic Stockpile, sent for pursuant to the order adopted by the committee on Monday, March 22, 2021, be submitted to the committee no later than Monday, April 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. ET, and be posted on the committee’s website.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Auditor General be invited to appear before the committee on Monday, April 26, 2021.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, members of the committee submit their witnesses electronically to the clerk of the committee, no later than Monday, April 19, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. ET.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, the documents submitted by Shared Services Canada to the committee on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, pursuant to the order adopted on Monday, March 22, 2021, be posted on the committee’s website.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of procurement practices within Shared Services Canada, representatives of Shared Services Canada be invited to appear during a public meeting in order to discuss the documents submitted by Shared Services Canada to the committee on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, pursuant to the order adopted on Monday, March 22, 2021.

At 5:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
