The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee authorize the Chair, at his discretion, to publish on the committee’s web page, all documents submitted, on Monday January 18, 2021, and in the future, by the Department of Employment and Social Development, in response to the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 2, 2020, concerning disaggregated data.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the documents submitted to the committee on Tuesday December 1, 2020, by the Department of Employment and Social Development, in response to the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 2, 2020, concerning disaggregated data, remain confidential and be destroyed by the clerk at the end of the 2nd session of the 43rd Parliament.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the Nuctech security equipment contract, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness be invited to appear before the committee, and that the witnesses identified on meeting five of the work plan not be invited to appear.

It was agreed, — That, in the context of its study of the government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chair, in conjunction with clerk and analysts, be authorized to set the schedule for the first five meetings of the work plan.

At 4:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
