Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 12, 2021, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-253, An Act to amend the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (pension plans and group insurance plans).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Tony Baldinelli, it was agreed, — That the committee invite Monique Gomel to testify for one hour no later than June 23, 2021, as the newly appointed interim chairperson on the Canadian Tourism Commission.

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:13 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 5, 2020, the committee resumed its study of accessibility and affordability of telecommunications services.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 1:05 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
