Pursuant to the order of reference of Tuesday, February 16, 2021, the committee commenced its study of the economic relationship between Canada and the United States.

Michael Grant made a statement and, with Steve Verheul, answered questions.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That Chris Lewis, Sherry Romanado and Anthony Housefather ask a five minute question each.

At 4:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the First Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the draft work plan relating to Enbridge's Line 5 and associated issues be adopted.

2. That the deadline for witness lists be Friday, March 5, 2021, at 4:00 p.m.

3. That the draft calendar, as amended, be approved.

4. That the Minister of Foreign Affairs be invited to appear before the Committee at a later date, during the "Buy America" portion of the study.

5. That the subcommittee meet at a later date in order to determine other priority areas of study for the Committee, other than those explicitly listed in the House Order.

At 5:07 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
