Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 22, 2016, and on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of rail safety.

Pierre Arseneau, by videoconference from Montréal, Québec, Phil Benson, Jerry Dias and Christine Collins made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet informally with the delegation from the House of Regional Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

It was agreed, — That the Committee meet informally with the delegation from the European Parliament on Thursday, May 19, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m .

ORDERED, — That the Clerk solicit briefs from the organizations and witnesses who gave evidence on the rail transport of dangerous goods and safety management systems before the Committee in the second session of the 41st Parliament who have not yet been heard in the rail safety study.

At 5:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
