Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights surrounding natural resource extraction within Latin America.

Kathryn Dovey, by videoconference from Paris, France, Tyler Gillard, by videoconference from Paris, France, and Dante Pesce, by videoconference from Santiago, Chile, made statements and answered questions.

At 1:59 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:00 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

At 2:05 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
