The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $ 1,047.13, for the study of Canada's global engagement, be adopted.

At 1:07 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:24 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Subcommittee proceeded to a briefing from the Burma Task Force Canada on the continuous human rights situation of the Rohingya in Myanmar.

Ahmed Ramadan and Anwar Arkani made statements and answered questions.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk request documents concerning the situation of the Rohingya from the Hon. Benoît-Pierre Laramée, Canada's High Commissioner in Bangladesh.

It was agreed, — The the Library of Parliament analysts provide the Subcommittee with further information on the International Crisis Group's report on the Rohingya rebel group.

At 2:00 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
