Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Natural Resources undertake a study of no less than six (6) meetings to examine strategic electricity inter-ties with a focus on:
(i) Regional electricity independence;
(ii) Low-carbon electricity distribution;
(ii) Opportunities for alignment with the Canadian Energy Strategy;
(iv) Canada-U.S. Energy Trade and Relations;
(v) Employment and economic impacts;
and that the Committee report its findings to the House of Commons.
It was agreed, — That members must submit to the Clerk of the Committee their list of suggested witnesses no later than Friday, July 14, 2017.
At 3:55 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
