The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Future of Canada’s Oil and Gas, Mining and Nuclear Sectors: Innovation, Sustainable Solutions and Economic Opportunities.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Future of Canada’s Mining Sector: Sustainable Growth Beyond the Global Downturn".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, line spacing of 1.5 and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, February 28, 2017.

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 4:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:16 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, September 20, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of Clean Technology in Canada's Natural Resource Sectors.

Frank Des Rosiers made a statement and, with Julie Sunday, answered questions.

At 5:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
