Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee proceeded to a briefing on security matters.

Supt Marie-Claude Côté and Patrick McDonell made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 11:16 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 11:40 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That on Thursday, June 6, 2019, the Committee study proposed regulations respecting the non-attendance of Members by reason of maternity or care for a new-born or newly-adopted child; and, that Philippe Dufresne, Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel, be invited to appear.

At 12:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
