Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 23, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of Canada’s involvement in NATO.

Stefanie von Hlatky and Julian Lindley-French, by videoconference from Alphen, Netherlands, made statements and, with Yves Brodeur, by videoconference from Québec, Québec, answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion of Randy Hoback, — That the Committee undertake a study of no fewer than three meetings on the state of Canada’s defensive capabilities against cyberattacks, the Government of Canada’s offensive cyberwarfare capabilities, and that the committee report its findings to the House.

The debate continued.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:08 p.m., the sitting resumed.

On motion of Mark Gerretsen, it was agreed, — That the debate be now adjourned.

At 5:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:16 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

At 5:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
