Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C) 2016-17: Vote 1c under Communications Security Establishment and Votes 1c and 5c under Department of National Defence, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

The Chair called Vote 1c under Communications Security Establishment.

The Minister made a statement and, with John Forster, Claude Rochette, Susan Chambers, André Fillion, Vice-Admiral Ron Lloyd and Dominic Rochon, answered questions.

Vote 1c under Communications Security Establishment carried by show of hands : YEAS: 8; NAYS: 1.

The Chair called Vote 1c under Department of National Defence.

Vote 1c under Department of National Defence carried by a show of hands: YEAS 8; NAYS:1.

The Chair called Vote 5c under Department of National Defence.

Vote 5c under Department of National Defence carried by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 1.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 1c under Communications Security Establishment and Votes 1c and 5c under Department of National Defence to the House.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:47 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That whenever the Minister of National Defence appears before the Committee, the Committee meeting be televised.

At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
