Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study of the consideration of Kathleen Roussel for appointment as Director of Public Prosecutions.

Kathleen Roussel made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:54 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:57 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That pursuant to the letter sent by the Minister of Justice on May 29th, 2017 and Subsection 4(4) of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, the proposed appointment of Kathleen Roussel to the position of Director of Public Prosecutions be approved and that the Committee report such to the House.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 6:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
