Statutory Review of An Act to Promote the Efficiency and Adaptability of the Canadian Economy by Regulating Certain Activities that Discourage Reliance on Electronic Means of Carrying Out Commercial Activities, and to Amend the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Act, the Competition Act, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and the Telecommunications Act
Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, June 14, 2017 and section 65 of An Act to promote the efficiency and adaptability of the Canadian economy by regulating certain activities that discourage reliance on electronic means of carrying out commercial activities, and to amend the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Act, the Competition Act, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and the Telecommunications Act, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Act.

The Committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a report.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the first hour of the meeting on Thursday, November 23, 2017, be dedicated to a briefing on the subject of broadband connectivity in rural Canada.

It was agreed, — That the Committee consider the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2017-18, for the second hour of the meetings on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, and Thursday, November 30, 2017.

At 12:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
