Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, February 7, 2018, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-262, An Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Paul Chartrand, Dwight Newman and Miles Richardson made statements and answered questions.

At 4:32 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $39,900.00, for the study of Bill C-262, An Act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, be adopted.
