At 8:53 a.m., the sitting resumed.
It was agreed, — That the Committee adopt a preliminary list of 30 witnesses, with each party providing 10 witnesses, to begin the Committee’s study of The Oceans Act’s Marine Protected Areas.
At 9:03 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:12 a.m., the sitting resumed.
The Committee resumed the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
At 9:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

It was agreed, — That the Committee request the attendance of Annette Daley, Director of Ocean’s Management, be included with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans officials in the briefing scheduled for Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in relation to the Committee’s study of The Oceans Act’s Marine Protected Areas.
It was agreed, — That the Committee request a witness who is working directly on economic impact assessments for all proposed Marine Protected Areas and is able to provide evidence of the economic impacts of both previously introduced and proposed Marine Protected Areas, be in attendance with officials from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans during the briefing on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
