Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of violence against young women and girls in Canada.

Jane Bailey and Matthew Johnson made statements and answered questions.

At 4:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That Statistics Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada be invited to appear alongside Status of Women Canada for the first hour of the meeting on Monday, December 12, 2016; and that the second hour be reserved for the consideration of the draft workplan.

Sandra Robinson and Corinne Charette made statements and answered questions.

At 5:29 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
