The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Subcommittee on International Human Rights' study of the recognition of international human rights champions, the proposed budget in the amount of $8,600 be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $3,500, for the study of the human rights situation in Russia, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Subcommittee on International Human Rights' briefing on the human rights situation in Sri Lanka, the proposed budget in the amount of $2,500 be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Subcommittee on International Human Rights' briefing on the human rights situation of Roma, the proposed budget in the amount of $800 be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, December 10, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of Canada's role in international support for democratic development.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 9:49 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:57 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 10:04 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 10:16 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
