Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on February 25, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of federal protected areas and conservation objectives.

Rick Bates, Ben Chalmers, Aran O'Carroll and Kim Lisgo by videoconference from Whitehorse, Yukon made statements.

By unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit for 15 minutes.

Kate Lindsay by videoconference from Thunder Bay, Ontario made a statement.

At 11:42 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:22 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Linda Nowlan by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 1:37 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
