The Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities met in a televised session at 8:45 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Larry Miller, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Peter Braid, Ed Komarnicki, Hoang Mai, David J. McGuinty, Larry Miller, Isabelle Morin, Lawrence Toet, Jeff Watson and Wai Young.

Acting Members present: Denis Blanchette for Mike Sullivan.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Zachary Alaoui, Analyst ; Allison Padova, Analyst.

Witnesses: Canadian Fuels Association: Peter Boag, President and Chief Executive Officer; Brian Ahearn, Vice-President, Western Division. Canadian Propane Association: Guy Marchand, Chair of the Board of Directors, Budget Propane 1998 Inc., President and Chief Executive Officer; Andy Bite, Chief Development Officer, SLEEGERS Engineered Products Inc.; Andrea Labelle, General Manager. Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers: Bob Bleaney, Vice-President, External Relations; David Pryce, Vice-President, Operations; Greg Stringham, Vice-President, Oil Sands and Markets.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, November 18, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of the review of the Canadian transportation safety regime: transportation of dangerous goods and safety management systems.

Peter Boag, Guy Marchand, Andy Bite and Bob Bleaney made statements and, with David Pryce, Greg Stringham and Brian Ahearn, by videoconference from Calgary, Alberta, answered questions.

At 8:55 a.m., Hoang Mai took the Chair.

At 9:00 a.m., Larry Miller took the Chair.

At 10:28 a.m., Hoang Mai took the Chair.

At 10:32 a.m., Larry Miller took the Chair.

At 10:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
