| Motion No. 4 — May 29, 2012 — Mr. Cotler (Mount Royal) — That Bill C-309, in Clause 2, be amended by adding after line 15 on page 1 the following: |
| “(3) Despite subsection (2), if a person, in the course of committing an offence under subsection (2), commits another offence under a provision of the Criminal Code other than subsection (1), the punishment imposed for committing the offence under subsection (2) may not exceed the punishment imposed in respect of the commission of the other offence.” |
